As an ME/CFS Wellness Coach I’m often asked whether it’s possible to fully recover from Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/ Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (also known as ME/CFS). The honest answer is that complete recovery appears to be elusive for some who have this diagnosis. But I know from my own personal experience that it is possible - I consider myself to have been fully recovered for over three years now. And although it took time - several years in fact - to get to this stage I always remained hopeful that recovery was within my grasp.
I’m always careful to explain to people who contact me that full recovery could take a long time to achieve. After all, rebuilding an immune system and tackling a variety of symptoms isn’t going to happen within days. But what I do see time and time again is that people can very quickly start to see some improvement to their symptoms and are then able to cope better with them. An illness like ME/CFS is a very challenging one to overcome, largely because what helps one person won’t necessarily help another. But with my help, we plan and tackle the areas that are often most helpful first, and then focus on other areas to explore and try.

I've developed two frameworks that guide you through the fundamental physical and mindset adjustments that will get you to a place where you are coping better with your symptoms today, and feeling more hopeful of recovery. Once we've created that firmer base on which to build, we continue to work together to build your personalised life rescue plan and move towards achieving real improvements.
I don't ask or expect clients to commit to lengthy programmes of sessions - we often pause after only three or four, and then pick up again a few weeks or months later to work through the next stage. This gives you the reassurance that I'm here to guide you at the pace that works best for you.
In the past year or two, I’ve seen an increase in the number of success stories that are being shared publicly, which is great. It shows people that life with ME/Chronic Fatigue isn’t necessarily the long term sentence that they fear, and that even if a full recovery isn’t possible, a partial recovery appears to be achieved by many.

By focussing on a new health protocol, including strengthening your immune system and focussing on pacing your exercise and other physical activity, you should find that you are coping better and that your symptoms are not worsening. Without the right advice around coping, you could find your symptoms do get worse. My experience allows me to guide and support you as you learn the best treatment approach for you personally. Everyone is different and everyone has their own path back to improved health. I help them find their way.
